The player had a device too, of course. But the moment he took it out, Xu Huo used his new Ability, "Memory Flashback." The man's expression and movements froze for an instant. In that brief moment, Xu Huo whisked him away from the Player Building to an abandoned building a kilometer away, pinning him in the cutting lines. Then he used "Harmonious Atmosphere" to disable the device. At the same time, he raised razor-sharp beams that pointed straight at the man's throat, chest, and abdomen. Aside from the man's windpipe, the blades had pierced him everywhere else, ensuring that the slightest movement would drive them through his organs.
What surprised Xu Huo was that the player was a Super Evolver. His skin rapidly regenerated as soon as it was injured, seemingly growing around the razor-sharp beams.
As a result, the player was in unbearable pain. The new skin kept getting sliced open by the blades. Though each wound was small, the amount of blood he lost kept multiplying.
The man glared at Xu Huo with hatred. "What exactly do you want?"
"What happened to the numbered Aliens that first appeared in District 010? Where are they being kept now?" Xu Huo repeated.
The player looked startled. "What do you want with those Aliens?"
"What do you think?" Xu Huo said. "At this point, what other value do those Aliens have?"
"You want to find the person who released the Aliens into District 010." The man sounded certain. After a pause, he added, "I'd advise you to drop that idea. That Alien's been locked up here for years, and I still haven't found a single clue. It's a completely secret experiment. If you were the one releasing Aliens for experiments, would you let anyone find a trail?"
The man's voice lowered.
