The other man seemed too wary to accept. He kept his distance. "You're different from the other inspectors."

"Soon, the East District will take inspectors from every branch there for training," the rebel said. "We hope you'll let one of our people take your place."

"Did I hear you right?" Xu Huo looked surprised. "Things are so tense between the East and West Districts. Why would the East District hold inspector training now? Besides, training is a chance to enter the East District. Why would I give that up for you?"
