Many of the Players now working for Agor Company had come from elsewhere. So, given the pincer attack by Outer District Players and other Players from the same sub-district, holding their own this long already showed they had considerable strength.
Therefore, after the defenses of the headquarters building were breached, all but a few Elite Players began gradually shifting to new positions. The other High-level Players had already started pulling out.
Many Outer District Players thought the East District Players were giving in. That meant they could get into Agor headquarters' underground facilities and loot to their hearts' content, so they attacked even more fiercely.
Just then, fighting broke out in other parts of the city, in three different directions. Each was about the same distance from Agor headquarters, and from above, they formed a triangle that enclosed the headquarters at its center.
The timing was so convenient that it was hard not to suspect Outer District Players or Players from the same sub-district were taking advantage of the chaos. But the Players on Agor's side didn't retreat. They continued fighting desperately inside and outside the building. They would only switch targets once they were sure there was nothing to gain here.
Those caught up in the fight couldn't see the bigger picture. Most people focused only on the people and events right in front of them. But looking at the entire battlefield, one would notice that some East District Players had shifted their focus after the explosion. Those on the outskirts had even left the battle outright, heading toward the explosion.
