One or two people were like specks of dust in the vast District 008. They wouldn't draw much attention wherever they went, and the same was true of wanted criminals.
But Dou Shengnan had appeared at a time that was far too convenient: just when everything the Tian Family did was under intense scrutiny. It was hard not to notice her. The leader of Chunlei, a renowned Player organization from another Station City, was sitting in the Reception Room at City Hall. The middle-aged man wasn't looking at the mayor seated across from him. Instead, he stared at the metal box before him. The box was closed, but his eyes seemed to see through its lid to whatever lay inside. A chill radiated from his eyes and his entire body.
The mayor was a slightly plump old man. He wasn't intimidated by the imposing man; instead, he sighed. "President Chi, I deeply regret what happened to your younger brother, but there's absolutely no way I can allow a battle to break out here. Do you know how many people live in a Station City? Players can protect themselves, but what about ordinary people?"
"My men can force Dou Shengnan out of the city." President Chi's voice was deep and resonant as he explained his plan. "All you need to do is set up three blockades. There's no way any ordinary people will be caught up in it."
