Our Side's Faction Expands
Xu Huo agreed to share information with him. After hanging up, he sent a message to a temporary law enforcement officer named Ding Dong Bleeding, hoping the other man would contact him so they could clear the game together.
"Any new leads?" Zhu Xiaojin and the others asked once he'd finished.
"There aren't many useful leads." Xu Huo briefly told them about the person who had completed his clearance mission but neither cleared the game nor entered it, as well as Lou Zigui and the others' conclusion that almost nobody could avoid entering the One-Third Game.
"Old Cai completed his clearance mission but never entered the game?" Cheng Zhongzhi said at once. "Was he lying, or does he have some other lead?"
There was no way to know. Unlike Lou Zigui, the other man hadn't volunteered the information he had, which meant he was holding something back. A new method was right in front of them: if they completed another clearance mission after submitting a Wanted Criminal's identity, that might be the way to clear the game. Old Cai certainly wouldn't reveal everything so soon.
"Has nobody tried leaving Buliu City?" Tang Yu couldn't help asking. "It can't hurt to try, can it?"
"How do you think people figured out that 'entering an unlocked area' was a trigger?" Cheng Zhongzhi said. "The boundaries of unlocked areas inside the city might be unclear, but the city's edge is obvious. Someone must have seen a person leave the city and enter the game with their own eyes. That's why there's no dispute over this trigger."
Xu Huo nodded. "Let's stick to our original plan."
He printed out new work permits. "I'm in charge of Districts 4 through 12 now. Tomorrow, invite more Players to work with us."
