The middle-aged man jumped in fright. Just as he leaped backward, the head dropped, trailing a streak of blood as it rolled to Xu Huo and the others' feet.

Looking at the window opening again, they saw nothing but darkness inside. Though they couldn't make out what was there, all three felt as if they were being watched.

"Bang!" The middle-aged man darted over and shut the opening, then retreated behind Xu Huo. "What the hell was that? It's not going to come out, is it?"

Xu Huo ignored his act and instead asked, "You've been in Fish Banquet Tower for so long. Don't you know what's inside the hidden spaces?"

"Just because I've been here a long time doesn't mean I know everything," the middle-aged man retorted, utterly unapologetic. "There are miniature doors all over Fish Banquet Tower. How am I supposed to know what's inside them?"

"Then why did you pull me in?" Xu Huo called him out. "And don't tell me it was an accident."

The middle-aged man had grabbed him twice, and both times Xu Huo had failed to dodge. That was enough to prove there was something going on.

The middle-aged man rolled his eyes, looking like he didn't care what happened to him. "I said it was an accident, so it was an accident. You just happened to be standing there. If you hadn't been there, how could I have brought you along? In the end, you were just unlucky. How can you blame me for your bad luck? If you can't take a dump, do you blame the toilet?"

Xu Huo was at a loss for words. The painted woman took the chance to butt in. "Are you saying you're the toilet?"
