"Could there be too few?" the little girl asked. "I still have plenty of bombs, but I'd need someone to throw them with me."
"The windows are all blocked now, so throwing them probably won't work well. And if we break those threads, they'll likely come back in no time," Ai Jiangping said.
"Those threads look alive," Shi Shuai suggested. "Why don't we try poisoning them?"
Tang Xian thought he was being ridiculous. "I've never heard of an object getting poisoned."
"If poison won't work, we can try something else," Shi Shuai said, pulling out a bucket of Potion and chuckling. "This stuff is great. There isn't a person in the world who isn't afraid of it."
When he opened the lid, a faint, acrid smell wafted out. Zuo Lei, who was standing closest, seemed to recognize it. Her expression changed, and she hurried to stop him, but before she could reach him, Shi Shuai tipped over the bucket.
The liquid poured out with a sizzling, corrosive hiss. It did make some of the threads snap and dissolve, but the rest of them quickly recoiled as if they were sentient, then whipped wildly through the air!
The next second, it was like one of those rare scenes in the game where sulfuric acid rained from the sky. The stuff hissed wherever it splashed, even on the defensive barrier. The group had no choice but to retreat, but as more threads broke apart under the acid, the clump that had been tangled together came undone, and the threads surged toward them without mercy!
"Look what you've done!" Tang Xian snapped at Shi Shuai.
The middle-aged man put on an innocent look and struck a playful pose. "I didn't do it on purpose."
"I'm gonna beat you to death!" Tang
