Pushing Him to the Front When There's Danger
To be honest, it wasn't as if so many Players couldn't deal with that fish. It just looked like something you really didn't want to touch, as though once it got on you, you'd never be able to shake it off. What was more, it actually grew bigger as it chased the Players!
Only after it had grown did Xu Huo and the others realize that the fish could pass through defensive barriers with ease, as if they were nothing but air. Only blocking it with a physical object worked.
"Could that actually be a Space Artifact?" Shi Shuai trailed behind Xu Huo and the others. In truth, he had nowhere else to go, so he could only say, "Why doesn't one of you make a sacrifice and try putting it in your inventory? Maybe it's an unowned artifact!"
"Do you think everyone's an idiot?" the girl shot back. But she was much calmer than she'd been when the threads were chasing them. She even pulled out a bag of fish food and tossed some over. "Good little fish, eat this. Don't eat people."
The fish actually ate it. Its jaws couldn't close like those of a normal fish, but it would chase after food. Anything that fell into its mouth seemed to enter another space and vanished in an instant.
"Could this be a miniature door?" Xu Huo asked.
They slowed down a little as the fish went after the food, and Shi Shuai slowed down too.
He snatched the fish food from the girl and tipped the whole bag out in one go. Then he watched the fish swallow the pieces one by one. It had stopped chasing him!
"Ha!" Shi Shuai laughed. "Looks like this fish isn't very smart.
