Micro-instruments concealed a trace of poison inside them. An impact would make them release it automatically. Not every Player had managed to protect himself properly, so some were inevitably hit. Unfortunately, with Personal Panels unavailable, few people carried large quantities of Antidote. After using a few Syringes and finding they had little effect, the poisoned Players couldn't help asking the others for help.
Unfortunately, the others had no solution either. Someone thoughtlessly suggested, "Why don't we catch some poisonous bugs here and fight poison with poison?"
But no one present had any expertise in that area.
Two Players examined the remains of the wreckage. "This guy was ruthless. He didn't leave a single intact instrument behind."
"It might not have been because of the self-destruction," someone else said. "Some instruments with biometric authentication work like this. They're automatically destroyed when their owner dies."
"But those are meant to prevent technology from leaking. These... are just ordinary Space Artifacts. Was that really necessary?"
The other Players couldn't help mocking Fish Banquet for being stingy.
"What about that fish and that octopus?" someone asked. The tentacle Artifact had helped when they'd surrounded the Player in formal attire, but after that one attack, it had suddenly disappeared without a trace. At first, they'd thought it had hidden in the woods, but now it was nowhere to be seen.
But just as the words left his mouth, a fish's mouth suddenly appeared from the ground and swallowed Xu Huo, his two companions, and the two Players standing beside them!
Unlike the rapid shifts before, the five of them seemed to have been swallowed into a transparent bubble. In the blink of an eye, they were transported from the ground into the sky!
