One Sweep Takes Them All
"Just to be clear, we know," Old Chai said at once. "Old Xu told us when we first met."
The big man went without saying. He'd brought Yang Tian back and stayed for a day, and he could have heard it from other players.
But there was a problem here: none of them had fought Xu Huo or the painted woman. Under what circumstances would they insist they weren't Dungeon players? Obviously, it was to avoid the risks of the Dungeon. Clearly, the strong had no such concerns. The only ones who did were those who weren't strong enough.
"It's just a robot," Moon Upon Willow Branches said coolly. "It could easily have been deliberately left in the woods to confuse us. Someone might even be trying to shift the blame. We don't have to fight each other to the death in this Dungeon, so why target one another?"
"Not necessarily," Yin Yang Master said. "At the very least, we need to know which of us has lost the right to play a role, so someone who failed to clear the Dungeon doesn't let jealousy get the better of them and deliberately keep everyone else from clearing it."
Moon Upon Willow Branches smiled faintly. "Even if someone fails to clear it, they're still on the side of the non-players. There are more non-players, after all, and it's easier to make a player fail to clear the Dungeon."
"Besides, I think we all know," she continued, "this Dungeon is unlike any we've experienced before."
Compared with Dungeons where players had to fight each other to the death, the conditions here were incredibly lenient. Even if they did nothing, they could still clear it just by surviving for Thirty Days. Could there be an easier Dungeon?
