A Cat Whisker Fruit
As Xu Huo walked through town, he found himself near the Wan family's home again. There were still plenty of people coming and going with gifts, and some shops that had ordered return gifts had brought samples to the house. Among them were all kinds of Cat Whisker Fruits. The custom-made ones were more distinctive than those on display in the shops.
With so many Cat Whisker Fruits around, there was no shortage of Players hoping to clear the Dungeon. He also spotted Bubble Bean and Ling Ling. The two had each linked up with several other Players. Bubble Bean pretended not to know him, while Ling Ling waved to him from a distance.
Xu Huo nodded but didn't approach. Instead, he observed the local Players around the residential compound.
There hadn't been many Players acting as bodyguards near the Wan family's home before, but their numbers had nearly doubled over the past two days. Some were out in the open, others in hiding. Most were watching the people bringing gifts... but honestly, there were a few too many of them.
Most of the people who brought gifts before the banquet were residents of Cat Fruit Town or nearby areas. The gifts they brought were easy to inspect, and most of them were ordinary people. There was no need for such an elaborate security detail.
Xu Huo picked a Player some distance from the Wan family and tried to interfere with him using his mental powers. To his surprise, the man was so vigilant that he immediately activated an interference device and put on a compression helmet at the mere possibility of being affected.
Since the Players were difficult to deal with, Xu Huo turned to the reporters who had arrived in town over the past
