Wen Xin and the others vaguely realized they'd been caught up in some other business. But seeing how aggressively those players had charged at them, they had no choice but to leave for now.
As luck would have it, just after they left the city, they ran into the players involved in the bet who had gone out earlier to look for Xu Huo and the others. After searching all this time without finding them, they had apparently figured the group might still be in Pharmaceutical City and come back to look.
Though Bubble Bean had taken a slap, he hadn't even figured out when he'd been caught in the trap, so he didn't blame Xu Huo. He suggested they split up and run, with him drawing the pursuers away.
"No need." Xu Huo handed Old Mrs. Gui over to Wen Xin and the others, then took out the several sets of law enforcement gear he'd bought earlier and had the painted woman and Bubble Bean put them on. "Wen Xin and the others will go in front. We'll follow behind."
Everyone present understood what he meant, but Wen Xin frowned. "This isn't what we agreed on."
"If we're going to set a trap, let's make it a big one." Xu Huo smiled faintly. "Trust me."
