He called over a staff member to ask about them and learned that the Dungeon Authorization Letters were imitations—in other words, fakes.

"Fake Dungeon Authorization Letters?" Xu Huo had certainly never heard of such a thing.

"What's so strange about fake Dungeon Authorization Letters?" An old man came in just then, his hands clasped behind his back. He snorted. "Dungeon Authorization Letters aren't anything precious. What's so surprising about making fakes?"

Xu Huo smiled. "Generally speaking, aren't precious things the ones people bother to counterfeit?"

The old man was briefly at a loss for words, then waved a hand. "What do you know? Dungeon Authorization Letters aren't technically complicated. Anyone can make one, and the cost is negligible. Sell you one for a thousand and I'd still make nine hundred and ninety-nine!"
