Xu Huo crouched down and looked at him. "Where did the young woman carrying this backpack go?"

He lifted his hand, and the performer's lips parted again. Fighting to contain his anger, the performer said, "How should I know? She's been running all over the parade and causing trouble. She even hurt two people. Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you're Players. I'll have the enforcement team arrest you!"

Xu Huo walked out, backpack in hand, and stood on the float, surveying the performers and tourists around him.

His mental power swept from the front of the parade toward the back, finally stopping in the darkness at the rear. The atmosphere there was closer to a riot of demons and monsters than it was farther ahead. With so little light, not only was visibility poor, but it seemed even mental power was blocked from entering.
