But the little girl was only willing to lead them to her own door. She rubbed her eyes, ready to go back to sleep.
The two players were obviously unwilling to settle for that. They simply picked her up and carried her toward the room she had mentioned.
The little girl's mouth was covered, so she couldn't make a sound. When the two entered the room she had indicated and found nothing, the woman's expression changed. She flung the girl to the floor.
The little girl was too stunned to get back up. The woman only watched her coldly. "You were messing with us!"
The girl pouted as if she were about to cry, but the man leaned toward her. "Don't cry, or I'll cut off your nose, you little freak."
The girl was about to burst into tears, but a voice suddenly cut in. "Two adults bullying a child—one who's not even ten years old. You're not ashamed of yourselves?"
The two turned around. A woman they had never seen before stood in the doorway.
"Mind your own business. We'll each look for what we came for and stay out of each other's way," the man said.
"Can't do that. I'm a kindhearted person, and I can't stand injustice. I won't just watch someone bully a child like this." The woman toyed with her long hair and beckoned to the little girl. "Come over here, sweetheart."
The little girl stared right at her. "Auntie, you have really big boobs."
The sudden remark left all three players stunned. The long-haired woman narrowed her eyes and scrutinized the child on the floor.
"Now you get it, right?" The man glanced at the woman's chest, too. "Nobody who lives here is normal."
"Even if they're not normal, she's still a
