It had only been a few days, but half the players in the instance had already died.
The player organizations that had arrived later had lost the confidence and composure they'd shown at first. No matter how many instruments they brought, they couldn't defend against the Dungeon Boss, who appeared and vanished without warning. They had found some naturally occurring artifacts, but not without sacrificing plenty of lives.
At some point, they seemed to have explored the space where the Dungeon Boss had been lingering, and lost an entire squad in one go.
After taking two such hits, even Xiong Xiaoxin wasn't as cheerful as before.
More than twenty people remained. The instance hadn't stopped, and no one had cleared it.
By now, everyone realized that if they delayed any longer, they might have to wait until most of them were dead before they had any chance of clearing the instance.
So the bearded man stepped forward to negotiate with Xu Huo and Xiong Xiaoxin. The three of them would put the remaining players into their container artifacts, minimizing the number of people as much as possible to see whether they could clear the instance by completing the first task.
The bearded man and Xiong Xiaoxin each had teammates with them. They might not all have been willing to die for one another, but in this situation, they had no choice but to trust their teammates. As for whether entering a container artifact would cause any Aftereffects, they didn't know. They could worry about that if they survived.
But Xu Huo's group was a mixed bag. They were strangers who'd only just met. Who would dare enter someone else's container artifact?
The bearded man and Xiong Xiaoxin had made their meaning clear. If Wang Xin and the others refused, they
