The Reflection People

A group of people spent an hour wandering around the manor without running into anyone else who might have been trapped there, including the painted woman and Wang Chengren, who had appeared earlier.

During that time, at least half of the fifteen Wang family employees saw their reflections change. Sometimes their reflections failed to turn when they did, or the reflections in the mirrors suddenly winked at them, or even came closer.

The manor already had an oppressive atmosphere, and the ever-changing reflections made it even harder to feel at ease. The dozen or so employees were like frightened birds, growing more and more listless with each fright.

"This can't go on," Xiao Yang whispered to Xu Huo. "If this keeps up, their reflections could drag them away at any moment."

There were reflective surfaces everywhere in the manor. More importantly, any reflective surface could be a passage to the Reflection World. They couldn't cut off that passage completely.

"Let's find somewhere to rest for a while." Xu Huo looked around and chose a corridor some distance from the water. He used tarps and paper to cover the reflective spots on the floor and ceiling, even covering the lights.

"Get some sleep while you can," Xiao Yang told the Wang family employees. "We might have to leave at a moment's notice."

The dozen or so people huddled together. They didn't dare close their eyes until they had repeatedly confirmed that the players were standing guard around them.

"It is strange," Sutton said. "We've been here for quite a while, but we haven't found anything wrong with our reflections."

They had seen "Xu Huo"
