In the white Spiritual World, Ms. Yao's figure flickered several times before arriving at the deepest part of the Book Tower. She stood before the symbolic table, seemingly studying the book resting on it.
The table silently disintegrated, merging with the book into the white ground. Ms. Yao instinctively attacked, plunging one hand into the ground as if trying to pull the vanished table back up.
The attack made Xu Huo feel pain, as though her hand had burrowed into his brain and was stirring it around. It also let him understand what Tang Guangbo had meant: letting someone into his core Spiritual World was equivalent to opening his Mental Defense Line wide. When their mental strengths were unequal, he had the advantage. But against another Mental Evolver of equal strength, he could end up hurt instead!
Xu Huo appeared beside Ms. Yao and swung at her.
His fingers carried Transdimensional Space Power. If they touched a Reflection Person, it would vanish immediately. For now, he didn't care how Ms. Yao had breached someone else's Mental Defense Line...
Unfortunately, Ms. Yao disappeared before he could strike. She vanished from the white space like a cloud of black mist, then reappeared at random in one of the Book Tower's rooms a second later, continuing to destroy his core Spiritual World from within.
"Catch her," Xu Huo called to the upper floors of the Book Tower.
After several doors opened and closed, his other three personalities sprang into action, pursuing Ms. Yao and trying to corner her.
Xu Huo followed their movements. After watching for a while, he condensed his core Manifestation again.
Now that he understood Mental Defense Lines, the Book Tower—his core Spiritual World—no longer seemed so safe. He needed to hide his core Manifestation somewhere deeper.
He stood still,
