The landscaping was untended, the building's outer walls were peeling, and the outpatient building reeked of rot and mildew. Water seeped through every nook and cranny, and strange fungi grew in the damp corners. What kind of newly renovated hospital looked like this?
Zong Lanzhi and Xiao Yue realized the instance was already beginning to affect them, so they quickly ended the conversation and started registering their names.
To be safe, they all used aliases. As they wrote them down, though, the nurse repeatedly reminded them, "Make sure you remember the names you've given us. Your room assignments and medication will be arranged according to those names, so we can't mix up the rooms or the medicine."
