Whether they sided with Zong Lanzhi or Xiao Yue, most of the players agreed with the plan. What they lacked was time. No matter how difficult the mental dungeons were, they were still only C-rank. They would eventually be able to figure out some of the rules.
The disappearance of Xiao Yue and the other three left everyone else hesitant to act. Now that they understood the hospital's layout, they stopped trying to investigate other areas, afraid they might end up in the same situation as Xiao Yue's group.
Still, they could confirm that the places they had already visited were safe.
Before long, Zong Lanzhi and the others returned to the First Hospital Building.
As soon as they entered, they keenly sensed a subtle change in the building. The nurses, who had seemed so gentle earlier, now wore cold expressions. When they saw the group, they told them without a hint of expression to return to their rooms, as meals were about to be served.
Normally, patients could eat in the dining hall. But since they were new arrivals, their first meal had to be eaten in their own rooms so they would remember the rules.
Two sleeping pills were handed out with the food. Taking them was mandatory.
As if! The players certainly weren't going to take them. Most of the people who had come along were C-rank or higher, and hiding the pills with a little trickery was no problem.
But to their surprise, the nurses delivering the meals were very lax about supervising them. A cursory glance at the group pretending to swallow was enough. Then they made a note in the Notebook and left.
Zong Lanzhi and the others didn't throw away the pills, either. Instead, they gave them to the patients sharing their rooms.
