The snowstorm disappeared too.
But whether the snowstorm appeared or not couldn't tell them whether they had entered Chaos Space. After all, snow had still been falling when the spatial walls appeared earlier.
However, the spatial walls around them had disappeared. At least for now, there was no danger.
The two teams had each lost two teammates, leaving only eighteen people.
The white-haired man checked his compass, pointed in one direction, and said, "Let's keep moving."
"Hold on." Two Heads looked at him. "Do you have a map of the Wasteland?"
The white-haired man nodded and took a map from his bag. It was the map sold in Little Bear City. He didn't hold back, spreading it out for everyone to see.
This map was much better than the secondhand one Two Heads had bought. Though it wasn't very detailed, it marked several special features, including places where Chaos Space was likely to appear, as well as supply points—in other words, shops.
That was right. There were shops in the Wasteland, but this map showed only one. In the center of the map was a moving icon that kept pointing in a certain direction.
"This is the cross-district point." The white-haired man tapped the icon.
"The direction is completely different from the one on my map," Two Heads said after comparing them.
"Maybe there's more than one cross-district point?" Yilan suggested.
The white-haired man agreed. He also told them some bad news. "There are no shops."
No one knew when the map had been made, but they followed its directions and took a detour to check the shop's location. They did reach the spot, but there was nothing there.
Maybe there had never been a shop there. Maybe Chaos Space had swept it away at some point. In any case,
