The Player looked a little younger at this point in time. He hadn't come to take part in the Challenge Island project, but to explore uncharted territory. During the expedition, he'd encountered Chaos Space and, together with his companions, had been lucky enough to survive.
His experiences were quite interesting, too. When he encountered the space wall, Rabbit Eye Star was drawing near. He also saw a flash of red light streak past inside the wall, so he became convinced there was treasure here. He repeatedly persuaded his companions to return and search the area, hoping they might get lucky and find something in the gaps between the spatial disturbances.
But luck wasn't on their side. On their fourth return, they ran into Chaos Space, and half their team died.
Once the corpse wall had been cleared, Xu Huo continued looking through other Curved Time segments.
Many of the people and events recorded were insignificant, but they all showed how dangerous this place was. Countless people had died in Chaos Space. Some had even been dismembered by Space Sharp Blades, leaving a gruesome scene.
There was also some useful information. Rabbit Eye Star appeared here more often than it did in District 025, and each time it appeared, it seemed to be drawing closer to the island. The volcanoes on the planet also erupted around the same time, as if responding to the spatial shifts on Challenge Island.
As for the red streak of light seen by the armed Player, it never appeared again in any of the other time segments. Xu Huo did, however, learn something about the island's layout.
The island really was divided into rings: Fang Snake District, Bear Hug Zone, and the Wasteland Zone. Beyond the Wasteland Zone was a central district, where a meteorite had
