The night passed peacefully. When Xu Huo and the others left the fortress the next morning, the woods near the building were still in ruins, but the rest of the estate and nearly everything beyond it had been covered by newly grown Mutated Plants. They looked as though they had just been carefully trimmed, neat and orderly.
The staff brought them breakfast, then asked Xu Huo about restoring the area outside the fortress. They meant that replanting and trimming might spoil the scenery, and they were also concerned it might disturb the guests.
Xu Huo had no objections, and neither did the others. To ensure their guests had the best possible experience, the Fielder Family then invited them to another fortress to choose clothes and outfits.
Professional designers would take their measurements, ask about their preferences, and select suitable formalwear for them.
The luncheon was more of a welcome banquet hosted by the Fielders, so it was fairly casual and the formalwear was simple. The outfits for the dinner party would be much more elaborate, since several important members of the Field family would be attending. They were making a special trip back from out of town.
Even Li De and the others, who thought little of the Field family, couldn't help feeling tense. Though no one as astonishingly talented as Carmen had emerged from the family since his time, Carmen himself had had a teacher when he was young. A great family like this, with a history spanning hundreds of years in the game, had surely gathered plenty of talent. The fact that it had endured for so long meant its overall strength couldn't be weak. Those who were making a special trip back were probably powerful players too.
