The flame illuminated the metal hook hanging from the end of the chain. Unlike the rust-spotted chain, the hook gleamed like a mirror. As the flame heated it, it gradually glowed red, and that ruddy light spread as if it had substance, soon filling the Workshop.

Sweat beaded on Peng Fengnian's forehead. He pressed his nose against the wall and stared at the dust right in front of him, not daring to glance toward the skin stripper, even out of the corner of his eye.
