Chapter 68: Prioritize Killing
Half an hour later, several off-road vehicles drove into the construction site. Their doors opened, and Zhou Xiao was kicked out first, his hands bound. Three men followed, shoving him toward the building. From more than ten meters away, they shouted inside.
The site was lit by tower-crane lamps, so the open ground outside was fairly bright, but the inside of the building was too dark to make out. Soon, a shadow emerged.

Hu Wenhu emerged from behind a pillar, dragging the unconscious Zhao Sheng. His fingernails dug into Zhao Sheng's neck. "Cut the crap. Let Zhou Xiao go!"
The young man looked at them in surprise. "You really think I care whether some hired thug lives or dies? Here's your chance: do as you're told, and I'll let you live today."
"Stop wasting your breath!" Hu Wenhu tossed Zhao Sheng aside and lunged at the young man. But just then, the tower-crane lights went out, plunging the area into darkness!
"It's an ambush!" Zhou Ning shouted. "Fall back inside!"
"Trying to run?" Relying on his memory of where Zhou Ning had been before the lights went out, the young man darted straight toward her. But the moment he lunged, he plunged into a mass of resilient, prickling threads, as if diving into water.
