The gloomy sky lit up on one side. Under the dazzling flash of electricity, all the Players instinctively turned away for a moment. But as the sound of the car breaking apart rang out, the light gradually dimmed.
The scene fell silent for a moment.
This was clearly abnormal.
It was strange enough that the countdown to the Players being surrounded had started early. Stranger still, not a single Player had come out of the car after the Players counterattacked. Anyone capable of traveling through the wilderness couldn't be an ordinary person. If they had the confidence to take on so many Players, there was no way they lacked even the ability to fight back.
"Something's in the air." Pan Qiao suddenly sniffed, then covered his nose and mouth. "Don't breathe it in!"
The people in the car immediately put on their protective masks. Just as Shangguan Xi was about to get out and see what was happening, a face slammed against the window. The hideous expression and sudden impact made him instinctively recoil. The next moment, several car doors opened by themselves, and everyone except Teacher Ai, who was in the driver's seat, was flung out—including the living specimen.
"Someone's here!" Zhu Feiyun warned the others as he tossed out a colorful triangle. It exploded in midair, and multicolored powder sprayed in every direction, quickly outlining two figures.
"Film Reel!" Pan Qiao retreated to Kuang Wenjun's side and unfurled a strip of film toward the two. The film spun around on its own, circling and enclosing the two Players, whose bodies were only partly visible.
But it didn't hold them for long. After two breaths, the film split down the middle, and a long-handled sledgehammer with a small head came crashing down on Pan Qiao and Kuang Wenjun.
The
