"What a coincidence." Xu Huo gave a noncommittal reply.
"Thank you for helping me yesterday." Liang Yi hesitated before bringing it up again. "And whatever you do, don't trust Dong Yu. If she invites you to go somewhere with them, don't go."
"Have you been to Zone 002?" Xu Huo asked.
"I have a friend in Zone 002..." Liang Yi paused. "He mentioned that many Players there are involved in human trafficking, and that some Players abduct outsiders on the train. Zone 002 isn't as nice as they make it sound, either."
Xu Huo thanked her for the warning and said nothing more.
Liang Yi left it at that and returned to her room.
There were few people in the VIP lounge, and the Players rarely came out of their rooms. The next two days passed peacefully. Thanks to his powerful self-healing ability, Xu Huo had nearly recovered from his injuries by the time the train crossed the Daytime Zone, night fell, and it reached its destination: Zone 002.
As soon as he stepped off the train, darkness surged in from every direction. This was different from any night he had experienced before.
Ordinary night wasn't completely dark. The light from the sky and stars might be faint, but to Players with abilities, it was almost as bright as day. Zone 002 was different. Its pure-black sky had no light source at all, and the darkness seemed to block his vision like a solid barrier. Apart from a solitary streetlamp, everything around him—the buildings on either side of the street, and even the entire city—was immersed in black. This was Zone 002, the famous Only Night City, where there was no daytime, only night.
