Chapter 162: Returning to Bear Claw Restaurant
Tao Chengxin was offended and furious. "Fine, don't believe me!"
Xu Huo didn't argue with her. Instead, he said, "Let's go look for the item first."
"Does the thing in the picture mean teeth?" Sun Jirou asked tentatively. "You don't seem to believe what they just said."
"I believe in my Ability. What they said was true," Tao Chengxin insisted.
Xu Huo didn't bother explaining himself to the two of them. Once they were back on the busy street, he casually asked someone where the lost-and-found was.
He bought two bags of fruit, and the shopkeeper became very enthusiastic. Not only did he tell them about several lost-and-found offices, he also said that if they wanted to find something, they could pay the security force for help or check a specialized auction platform.
"People in Fairytale City are all honest. They won't keep things that don't belong to them. If you can't find it at the lost-and-found, it must've been picked up by a tourist and put up for sale. Check the auction platform. We locals don't buy anything on there. If it hasn't been lost for long, it might not have been sold yet."
"Would you like to try some Fried Algae Clams?"
"No, thanks." Xu Huo left with the things he'd bought.
Sun Jirou couldn't help glancing at the shopkeeper. Seeing him eating a bowl of Fried Algae Clams himself, she remarked, "I've been through quite a few Dungeons, but this is the first city like this I've ever seen."
The people were warm and hospitable, and seemed honest and kind, yet they had no qualms about eating products made from their own kind.
"This is a sick city," Xu Huo said. "Maybe that's why they don't have any next generation."
