Chapter 301: How to Escape
The longer he stayed, the deeper he sank into this place of mental contamination.
As he pondered what to do, Sima Xiao Er suddenly began pounding on the door from outside. "Xu Huo, can you hear me? Wake up! They're going to gut you!"
Seeing how deranged he looked, Xu Huo was about to go open the door when Sima Xiao Er let out another howl. Tears streaming down his face, he turned and ran off, his voice echoing through the hallway. "I'll avenge you! Once I get out, I'll file a report and have this damn place bombed!"
Xu Huo went outside, but all he saw was Sima Xiao Er's figure disappearing around the end of the corridor.
After closing the five open doors on either side of the hallway, he left the Fourth Floor and returned to the Third Floor.
Sima Xiao Er wasn't in his room, and Xu Huo had no idea where he'd gone. He returned to his own room first. The tall, dark-haired man still hadn't woken up, so he moved him to the other bed, then lay down to rest himself.
After daybreak, he went out to look for Sima Xiao Er.
Sima Xiao Er was hiding in a corner of the lawn, his head in his hands as he muttered to himself, "...Xu Huo is dead. Can I escape on my own?"
"No! Is he really dead? Was the person I saw really him?"
"I clearly entered the Fog Zone with my teammates, but the others disappeared. Where did he come from? He must've been fake. The hospital tricked me. Nobody died!"
"...But he died so horribly, and there were so many body parts in the Treatment Room... How could no one have found out about this hospital?
