The female Player saw Xu Huo and opened her mouth to curse him, but when she noticed Siming dangling from his hand, she swallowed her words.
Xu Huo watched her with an almost-smile. She hurriedly put on a flattering grin. "Fifth Brother, could you give me a hand?"
Zhuo Wangsun used an item to remove the fungal threads from her body and at least got her onto clean ground. Compared to the female Player, Siming looked utterly hopeless. He said weakly, "Even if we get out of here, we've both been poisoned. We'll only die when we reach the next Station."
Zhuo Wangsun had stayed behind to find a fungus that could counteract the poison. The female Player and Siming hadn't left because they hadn't cleared the Dungeon. Without clearing it, they had no Return Ticket. Even if they used a Ticket to enter the next Dungeon, they might end up as someone else's food when they passed through a Station. Better to die here than be eaten alive.
"Did Xin Hui die?" Zhuo Wangsun asked Xu Huo.
Xin Hui's motives had been questionable. Since Xu Huo had come back alone, she was probably done for.
Xu Huo nodded without offering much explanation. He only said, "A High-level Player came to Clown City, so the Dungeon ended early."
Zhuo Wangsun and the other two looked shocked and nervous. "A High-level Player entered the quarantine zone?"
"Not quite," Xu Huo said. "But we definitely can't go any farther. We have to turn back."
"Going back won't be hard, but if there are High-level Players fighting, we'll have to leave first." Zhuo Wangsun couldn't help looking at Xu Huo. "Can you sell me one of the Antidotes you gave Jin Dong earlier?"
The female Player looked at him expectantly. "We've all been
