Organized Ambush
Now that everything was out in the open, Xie Ling stopped secretly watching out for the others and openly displayed her items.
Aside from combat items, many items looked like small accessories, such as rings, bracelets, and buttons. Xu Huo fiddled with the Same Kind Retriever. The items Xie Ling had on her were mostly D-grade, with only three C-grade ones.
Xiao Ling was much more discreet. At least on the surface, she didn't seem to be wearing any items.
Xie Ling kept her distance from everyone, including Xu Huo, who had saved her.
"Why hasn't Yu Guangnan come back yet?" Xu Ruosi looked outside, then asked Xiao Ling, "Do you know anything about him?"
What she meant was that with more than ten players having entered the Dungeon, Yu Guangnan might look for new partners.
"He probably won't," Xiao Ling said. "We met on the train here. I saved him once on the train, and last night at Decapitation Cemetery, he almost died too..."
Before she could finish, they sensed several players rushing over from nearby. Xu Huo kicked through the door and charged out of the shop. Though Xu Ruosi and the other two hadn't sensed any danger approaching, they followed immediately. The four of them made it outside one after another, just as six beams of light—three horizontal and three vertical—sliced the sizable shop into tofu cubes!
The attackers had come to kill, so naturally they weren't going to bother announcing themselves first. Besides, in the game, no reason was needed to kill someone.
"Watch out for the red light!" A voice from ahead blocked Xu Huo and the others' path. A huge red light appeared before them, forcing them to stop. They couldn't take even a single step forward!
"They're coming from behind too!"
