He was two tables away from Xiao Xiao, Hu Yingying, and the others.
The fox demon stirred the coffee in front of her, then lifted it and took a grand, hearty gulp.
Xiao Xiao glanced at the now-empty sugar jar out of the corner of his eye, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.

The girl stuck out her tongue. "It's so sweet and bitter."
She set down the coffee cup, now half-empty, and looked up at Xiao Xiao. Her expression grew more reserved, taking on a hint of gravity and solemnity. "I found a man-eating demon."

The faint traces of amusement in Xiao Xiao's eyes vanished at once, replaced by a hint of coldness.

he asked.
The girl downed the remaining half cup of coffee in one go.

After cultivating for a while, the girl grew impatient again.
