Shu Hu finally got the gift onto his hooves.
Xiao Xiao lowered his eyes, hiding the fleeting amusement in them.
Watching the monster hold the gift steadily in its hooves was a little comical.
He glanced at Shu Hu's hooves, somewhat amazed.
Those hooves were surprisingly nimble.
But to Shu Hu, its hooves were the equivalent of its "hands." Human hands were that dexterous, so naturally this monster's hooves could be just as nimble.

It brought its nose close to the gift and sniffed cautiously.
Someone had sprayed perfume on the gift box.
Shu Hu twitched its nose, then opened its mouth.
Xiao Xiao leaned to one side.
"Ah—choo!"
The loud sneeze sent the gently falling snowflakes whirling wildly toward the front.
If Xiao Xiao hadn't leaned aside beforehand, his face would have been covered in snow.
Xiao Xiao's eyes brightened, and his voice held a hint of amusement. "Impressive."
It turned out that just before sneezing, Shu Hu had hurriedly tossed the gift into the air.
Then, once its sneeze was over, the gift landed steadily on its head.
Shu Hu gave its head a small shake. The gift slid from side to side along the top of its head.
It was hard not to worry as you watched.
