Chi Xiuchuan stepped forward and opened the door.
A man holding a little girl stood outside.
It was Tao Chunlin.
The child in his arms was undoubtedly Qiqi.
A smile appeared on Chi Xiuchuan's face. "Uncle Tao, hello."
He had personally gone to the man's home to pick up the night-blooming cereus earlier, so he naturally recognized him.
However, he hadn't seen Qiqi that time.
They must have just missed each other.
The man was clearly surprised to see Chi Xiuchuan. "A Chuan, you're here too?"
Then he noticed the white coat Chi Xiuchuan was wearing and seemed to understand. "Are you here for some hands-on training, A Chuan?"
"Yeah."
Chi Xiuchuan smiled. "Just looking around the hospital."
"Director Chi."
Seeing Father Chi behind him, the man greeted him warmly. "I brought my daughter."
A moment later, he smiled somewhat sheepishly. "I think I might have come too early."
"Sorry to trouble you."
He noticed the unfamiliar young man in a white coat alongside the father and son from the Chi family.
He didn't think much of it.
He assumed that, like Director Chi's son, he was a doctor doing an internship at the hospital.
He was so young.
Perhaps he was one of Young Master Chi's classmates.
Or the child of one of the hospital's doctors.
"Qiqi, this is Uncle Chi."
The man introduced the adults present to his daughter. "This is Uncle Chi's son, Brother Chi."
The man's gaze fell on Xiao Xiao.
The young man had been here the whole time. He couldn't very well ignore him.
But he didn't know the young man, so how could he introduce him to his daughter?
Xiao Xiao smiled. "Hello, I'm Xiao Xiao."
"Oh, right."
The man swallowed the question he'd been about to ask, then smiled.
