Feeling other people's joy at the snowfall, Xiao Xiao's already cheerful mood grew even brighter.
"Chiu Chiu~"
"Ying Ying~"
Familiar greetings reached his ears.
Xiao Xiao drew his gaze back from the distant view.
"Yue."
"Ying Shao."
"Good morning."
Xiao Xiao went downstairs.
A tempting aroma drifted from the kitchen.
Madam Xiao had just come out of the kitchen. She looked up and saw her son coming down, and a gentle smile spread across her face.
"Xiao Xiao, you're up."
"Breakfast is ready."
"Come and eat."
"Xiao Xiao, your mom was bragging to me this morning that she saw a beautiful butterfly last night."
Xiao Grandmother recalled their earlier conversation in the kitchen.
"Mom, I wasn't bragging."
Madam Xiao shook her head.
She simply couldn't help wanting to share last night's stunning sight with more people.
"To me, it sounded like bragging."
The old lady was completely unapologetic.
Madam Xiao gave a wry smile.
"Yes, yes."
"I was bragging."
"What's going on?"
Grandpa Xiao was curious.
"Hm?"
The old man looked around at everyone seated at the table and quickly realized something was up.
"So I'm the only one who doesn't know?"
The old man was displeased.
There was no need to mention his wife and his daughter-in-law.
Even his son looked as though he knew what was going on.
"Didn't we just not get a chance to tell you?"
The old lady pursed her lips.
"Besides, aren't you eager to finish breakfast so you can go play chess?"
"Do you even have time to listen to us chat?"
The old man was at a loss for words.
A trace of amusement flickered in Xiao Xiao's eyes.
With the New Year approaching, business at the teahouse had slowed down a little.
