"What could I do?"
Zhang Bo sighed.
"I just had to grit my teeth and go through with it."
"But when I thought about it, I still couldn't help worrying..."
"Just imagine the two of us alone together—you and that kid..."
"Isn't that terrifying?"
Zhuge Yun's mouth twitched.
Eldest Brother didn't need to put himself down like that.
"Eldest Brother, you're overthinking it."
Zhao Luzheng spoke up. "At most, it'd be a little awkward."
Zhang Bo shrugged.
Maybe it was partly because, deep down, he really hadn't wanted to look after a kid.
"Snap!"
Zhang Bo snapped his fingers.
"Clever me came up with a solution in no time."
"I found a backup."
Zhang Bo, Zhuge Yun, and Zhao Luzheng spoke almost in unison.
Zhang Bo paused, then broke into a grin.
"Looks like you all guessed it."
"Obviously."
Zhuge Yun pursed his lips.
If he and Third Brother had been there those few days, Eldest Brother would definitely have dragged them along too.
Zhang Bo smiled.
"Yep."
"I called Third Brother and asked him to come help."
"Third Brother agreed without hesitation."
"What a great friend."
Zhang Bo gave Xiao Xiao a thumbs-up.
"As long as it wasn't just me and the kid, I wasn't nearly as worried."
Zhang Bo took a sip of tea.
"But..."
"I underestimated that kid."
"We'd just gotten off the plane..."
"We hadn't even left the airport..."
"And something unexpected happened."
Thinking back to that day, Zhang Bo let out a rueful sigh.
"...After that, we got to the Amusement Park and met up with Third Brother. I felt a lot more at ease."
"I never expected..."
"Something else would happen."
Zhang Bo recounted everything that had happened on his first day with the kid.
