The young clerk said, sounding sorry for him.
"About half an hour ago..."
"There was an accident over there."
"But things were too chaotic at the time. I'm not really sure what happened."
"Apparently, a little kid's mom wouldn't buy him something, so he secretly slipped two little puddings into his pocket."
"Then one of the cake shop's employees caught him."
The clerk shook her head.
"That employee probably overreacted a bit."
"She was too harsh with the kid."
"The kid's mom got upset right away."

"She shouted right back."
The clerk clicked her tongue.
"If you ask me, even if the employee had a bad attitude, the kid was still in the wrong first..."
The server shook her head again.
She didn't outright say the kid had stolen anything.
After all, that was a pretty harsh thing to say.
She disapproved of the parent more than the kid.

The server's voice returned to normal.
