Zhao Luzheng tapped his head.
"Hey, Third Brother."
Zhao Luzheng stared at the little monkey.
He noticed that the little monkey seemed much more relaxed than when it had first come into the room.
He wondered how much that huge pile of candy had helped.
Suddenly, Zhao Luzheng thought...
Maybe he should carry some candy around with him from now on?
It didn't have to be a monster.
It turned out lots of little animals liked candy, too.
Of course.
Everyone liked sweet things.
"Third Brother."
Now that he wasn't alone, Zhao Luzheng felt much more at ease.
Every now and then, he glanced at the little monkey.
Whenever the little monkey looked his way, he hurriedly looked elsewhere.
But soon, his gaze would settle on the little monkey again.
"The little monkey's eaten so much candy."
Zhao Luzheng was a little worried about its teeth.
"Is it okay for it to eat this much?"
"Will it get cavities?"
What would they do if the little monkey got a cavity?
Were there monkey dentists who could treat it?
The thought made Zhao Luzheng chuckle.
He was becoming more and more childlike.
Xiao Xiao's brows lifted slightly.
"It probably..."
"Does have some effect."
He walked behind the little monkey and reached out to stop it from peeling open another candy wrapper.
The little monkey's eyes flew wide open.
It looked utterly startled.
Xiao Xiao moved around to face the little monkey.
He crouched down.
He didn't get too close.
Instead, he considerately left plenty of space between them.
"Little monkey, are you planning to eat all of this candy right now?"
The little monkey realized the human wasn't as close as it had thought.
Its tense body relaxed a little.
