Dad Xi's brow twitched sharply.
He instinctively shielded Mom Xi behind him.
His hands felt around at his sides.
He wanted to grab something...
Maybe it was just his imagination...
He felt the snake was getting closer and closer, faster and faster!?
He stumbled backward.
His mouth opened and closed rapidly.
"Quick!"
"Is there anything I can use!?"
His outstretched hands grasped at empty air.
He couldn't feel a thing.
They were standing in a bad spot.
Right by the doorway.
There was nothing on either side.
"Anything?"
Mom Xi asked without thinking.
"Anything at all!"
Dad Xi grew more and more anxious.
How could Mom Xi still look so dazed and out of it at a time like this?!
"A bag... a mop... anything!"
Dad Xi was starting to babble.
The snake rapidly approaching put him under immense pressure.
As embarrassing as it was...
He really did feel like running away.
"Oh, oh!"
Mom Xi replied in a panic.
She hurriedly turned around and rushed off.
Mom Xi dashed into the bathroom.
The next second, she came running back out with a mop in one hand and a bucket in the other.
The moment she entered the bathroom, inspiration struck her.
Besides the mop, she'd also grabbed a bucket.
She could just plop the bucket over the snake...
Wouldn't that solve everything?
"Here!"
Back behind Dad Xi, Mom Xi held out her hand.
Dad Xi reached back.
He grabbed the mop handle.
"The bucket!"
Mom Xi hurriedly said.
Use the bucket!
Dad Xi didn't hear her.
All his attention was on the snake closing in on him.
He raised the mop in his hand.
By now, he couldn't afford to worry about hitting its vital spot...
He was confident that
