"She asked me why I didn't believe her?"
"I was a little stunned."
"Why?"
"Only one person saw a huge leopard..."
"Isn't that strange?"
"Wouldn't people think..."
Leilei paused. "Is there something wrong with me?"
"But Jingjing didn't think that way at all."
Leilei's voice rose slightly.
"She believed that I'd seen a huge leopard."
"She actually believed that I'd really seen a huge leopard..."
Leilei murmured.
"And she really wanted to see the huge leopard, too."
"She hoped I'd help her see it."
"She wanted to see the huge leopard?"
The old woman, who had been quietly listening to her granddaughter, spoke up.
Leilei was slightly taken aback.
She didn't quite understand.
But she still nodded honestly. "Mm-hmm."
"Jingjing really wants to see the huge leopard."
"Ever since I told her about it, she's brought up the huge leopard every time we've met."
"And you helped her look for it?"
The old woman asked out of the blue.
"Mm-hmm."
Leilei nodded matter-of-factly, completely unaware.
"I'm helping her look for the huge leopard."
"But I still haven't found it..."
Leilei scrunched up her face and muttered a complaint. "It's so hard to find..."
"Have you still not realized what the problem is?"
The old woman shook her head with a sigh.
She took a deep breath. "She's encouraging you to believe in your hallucination!"
"She wants you to hallucinate again!"
"Is that a good thing?"
The old woman was practically going mad with anger. "What kind of people have hallucinations?!"
"People with something wrong with their brains!"
"She's trying to ruin you!"
The old woman's voice turned shrill.
After her final words, only the sound of her panting remained.
The room fell utterly silent.
Leilei opened her mouth.
Not a sound came out.
