The woman nodded.
"That's right."
"We won't call her now."
She was worried that if they called Chen Jing now, she would come back and demand an explanation.
"The day before Chen Jing comes over next time, I'll message her."
The woman didn't even want to call her.
Now that she knew the other woman was crazy, she just wanted to stay far away from her.
And keep her child far away from her, too.
After Chen Jing left, the child's parents went home.
They had deliberately avoided Chen Jing.

A few days later, the woman finally told the child they were changing tutors.
The child was surprised.
"Why are we changing?"
The woman smiled.
"Teacher Chen suddenly had something come up and can't tutor you anymore."
"Though it's a shame..."
The woman didn't mean that at all. She paused, then continued, "Of course, we respect Teacher Chen's decision."
The child puffed out her cheeks.
"I haven't gotten the teacher to see—"
The words slipped out, then abruptly died on her lips.
"See what?"
The woman pressed.
Her brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.
The child did remember that after all.
A shadow crossed the woman's face.
The more the child remembered, the deeper her resentment toward Chen Jing would grow.
That crazy woman.
As if it weren't enough that she had problems of her own.
She wanted to affect the woman's child, too.
To make her child just like her.

The child looked a little embarrassed.
She pressed her lips together. "...N-nothing."
