A Conversation Between Brothers

Xu Qingzhu didn't know that the fox and the snake were both demons.

"Mm."

Xiao Xiao lowered his eyes and replied with a smile.

"Master Xiao, we're here."

Xu Qingzhu stopped the car. Yan University's gates were right outside the window.

"Mm. Uncle Xu, thanks for bringing me back."

Xiao Xiao opened the door and got out.

"Goodbye, Uncle Xu."

"Goodbye, Master Xiao."

Xu Qingzhu leaned slightly out of the car window.

The two of them looked at each other for a while. Xiao Xiao smiled helplessly, then turned and walked onto campus.

Xu Qingzhu watched Master Xiao's figure disappear into the depths of the campus before starting the car again.

The car soon merged into the traffic on the road and vanished from sight.

Xu Qingzhu had just parked when his phone began buzzing.

He took it out and raised his brows. It was Eldest Brother calling.

Xu Qingzhu swiped his finger and put the phone to his ear. "Eldest Brother."

Just then, another call came in.

He lowered the phone and looked at the screen.

It was Wang Tong.

Xu Qingzhu hung up on Wang Tong without hesitation.

Even putting aside who had called first, Eldest Brother's call was definitely more important.

"Qingzhu?"

"Mm, Eldest Brother. Go on."

Xu Qingzhu closed the car door and leaned against the bodywork.

The quiet, dim garage helped settle his restless thoughts, and a calm expression came over his face.

Xu Qingsong asked a few questions about Xu Qingzhu's meeting with Master Xiao that evening.

After learning that everything had gone well, he moved straight to end the call.

"Qingzhu, get some good rest."

Hearing that Eldest Brother was about to hang up, Xu Qingzhu hurriedly called out, "Eldest Brother."
