The sky was clear, without a cloud in sight.
The brilliant sunlight was so intense that fine beads of sweat appeared on their foreheads.
"Something's moving! Something's moving!"
Zhao Luzheng suddenly shouted.
His bobber bobbed violently up and down a few times, then, with a "plop," the hook swiftly sank beneath the water.
The fishing line immediately went taut, tracing circles across the surface of the sea.
Caught off guard, Zhao Luzheng was yanked sharply forward by the tremendous force coming through his fishing rod.
He hurriedly got to his feet and braced both feet against the boat's side.
He gripped the rod tightly with both hands and leaned back with all his strength.
"Little Zhao!"
Zhao Luzheng's shout had instantly drawn everyone's attention.
Zhang Bo and the others immediately gathered around.
Everyone on the boat opposite looked over too. They glanced at Zhao Luzheng first, then shifted their attention to the fishing line racing across the water.
"A big fish!"
"It's definitely a big one!"
Zhuge Yun exclaimed excitedly.
"Haha!"
"Not bad, little Zhao."
"Looks like you're going to be the first one to land a fish."
Zhang Bo watched Zhao Luzheng's movements tensely, one hand half extended, ready to help if necessary.
His face was lit up with a radiant smile.
Xiao Xiao narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked beneath the water. He couldn't make out the details, but could faintly sense the dark shadow's movements.
It was surging fiercely, churning the water around it.
It really was a big fish.
The corner of his mouth lifted slightly.
While everyone on their boat was cheering, the mood aboard the other boat wasn't nearly so lighthearted.
"Ah, that's nice~"
One of the girls said enviously. "Looks like a big fish."
