The Pelicans' role players, especially Lou Will and Valanciunas off the bench, had been pretty average.
Lou Will had shot just 1-for-3 from beyond the arc tonight. Even from mid-range, his specialty, he had only gone 2-for-4.
Valanciunas had been even worse.
He'd shot 1-for-6, scoring just 3 points and grabbing 5 rebounds.
He hadn't been able to make the most of his strengths on offense, and on defense, the Warriors had relentlessly targeted him.
Daigneault had been forced to give Horford more minutes.
Horford, after all, was three years older than Butler, making him an even more seasoned veteran.
Under normal circumstances, Daigneault tried to conserve his energy whenever possible.
Being forced into this adjustment was a real problem for the Pelicans.
If Butler and Holiday hadn't played so well, the Pelicans might have been blown out by the end of the third quarter...
And that, perhaps, was exactly what made the Golden State Warriors so terrifying.
When they had the hot hand, they feared no defensive powerhouse in the League!
And no matter how the game had unfolded, the end result was that the Golden State Warriors had successfully taken the Pelicans' home court in G2.
With their excellent performance, they had evened the series at 1–1 and, like the Thunder next door, claimed home-court advantage.
For the Warriors' enormous fan base, it was a huge win worth celebrating.
They began celebrating after the game, overjoyed.
Some posted updates, while others edited videos.
Some even had the nerve—and the awful attitude—to go right up to Lakers fans and rub their win in their faces~~
Then again, all fan bases were pretty much the same: six of one, half a dozen of the other. Nobody could point fingers~~
The scene shifted.
To the Thunder's home arena.
