The ball sailed over the Thunder backcourt, heading straight for the basket.
Dang!!
The crisp clang of a missed shot rang out again, sealing the fate of PG's attempt.
That was his third missed three of the night. He was now one-for-four from beyond the arc.
George's efficiency and touch had been decidedly poor tonight.
Gafford secured the rebound and turned to pass it to Chen Xi.
Chen Xi turned and dribbled across half court, then launched the offense from the top of the key.
He flashed the Spain signal and waited for his teammates to get into position. Then he burst forward, using Gafford's screen to accelerate into the paint before kicking the ball back out to Alexander at the wing, forty-five degrees from the basket.
Alexander caught the ball and immediately went into a pump fake. Aldridge had switched onto him, but didn't step up to apply heavy pressure, so Alexander turned the fake into a real shot, jumping straight into a three.
Swish~~
The ball went straight through the net.
58–44!
SGA was having one of those nights where everything went right, and he hadn't let Chen down. Now even his three-pointer was falling.
That was excellent news for the Thunder, but for the Nets...
It was a downright catastrophe~~
When the Nets got the ball back, Atkinson stood on the sideline, shouting at Shorter and George and gesturing for them to switch up the play. He wanted Durant to be the finisher, hoping for more reliable scoring.
Shorter had the ball and nodded. Then he continued advancing up the court.
At the top of the key, he signaled for KD to come up and then passed him the ball.
On the other side, George started moving too. He strode up to the top of the key
