History

In an earlier iteration, the Knicks fielded Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose, and Kristaps Porziņģis. Despite the trio’s apparent talent, the team stood 12th in the Eastern Conference: Anthony’s defensive limitations, Rose’s injury-related decline, and the players’ mismatched peaks prevented the roster from functioning as a cohesive contender. 51
