The two hurriedly looked around and immediately spotted Aokiji closing in on Luffy and the others!
"Ace has joined up with Izo and the others!"
Vista was instantly delighted at the sight in the distance, his twin mustaches trembling as he rushed forward. "Go cover them!"
"Retreat, Pops!"
Jozu hurriedly turned back and shouted at Whitebeard, then followed Vista, charging recklessly through the Marines.
"You go first! I'll be there soon!"
Without looking back, Whitebeard shouted deeply. Murakumogiri spun in his hand before he swung it in a wide horizontal slash at Garp.

Garp raised his pitch-black forearms to block, then curled his fingers tightly around the blade and chuckled. "Do you think Marineford is somewhere you can come and go as you please?"

Whitebeard released his naginata and drew back his arm, a sphere of vibrating power wrapping around his fist as he slammed it down!

"If I told them in front of my sons that I couldn't make it back, my lovable idiot sons would risk their lives trying to keep me here."

"So you really intended to stay behind and cover their retreat."
Garp's feet scraped across the ground as he slid more than ten meters away, stopping with a shudder.
When he looked up, there was a trace of emotion in his expression. "From the very beginning, you never planned to leave Marineford alive, did you?"
