Bang!!
Bang!!
With two deafening crashes, the quarry's walls were violently smashed open in two places, kicking up dust and sending countless stones flying.
"What's going on?!"
"More enemies?!"
The pirates and samurai inside the quarry turned toward the disturbance in panic.
Two battered figures lay on the ground, clearly the culprits behind the commotion.
While the samurai regarded them warily, some of the pirates quickly recognized the pair.
"No, that's—!"
"Trafalgar Law! And Captain Kid!"
"Why are they here?!"
"Look outside! There's someone else!"
A pirate shouted and pointed beyond the breach. As the dust gradually settled, everyone could vaguely make out a silhouette.
With a massive single-bladed axe slung over his shoulder, he strolled in from the wilderness beneath the night sky.
Unlike the disheveled Law and Kid, he had merely dirtied the hem of his clothes. It was clear he had effortlessly driven the two of them into this predicament.
"Hey, hey, hey. Don't tell me you're done already. At this level, it doesn't even count as a warm-up."
Reiner passed through the breach beneath the wall and slowly stepped into the quarry, his expression mocking.
"You weren't seriously thinking you could beat me with just that, were you? If you can't manage it, you might as well wash your hands of piracy and go home to retire."
"This bastard!"
Kid pushed himself to his feet with his mechanical arm, glaring at Reiner through gritted teeth.
"I really want to tear that mouth apart!"
"Yeah. For once, I completely agree with you."
Law's face darkened as he voiced his wholehearted agreement.
If they were fighting, then fight. Why did this guy have to keep spouting so much trash talk?
Worse still, they could not even beat him. That made it even more frustrating.
"Tch!"
Kid snorted harshly
