Rumble!
Lightning split the sky, illuminating the jagged stone walls within the quarry and making the ruthless atmosphere of the fierce battle even more palpable.
"Magnetism Grant."
Kid leaned exhaustedly against the surrounding wall, slumped on the ground. He struggled to raise a hand and press it against the wall, where sparks of electricity crackled to life.
Rumble!!
The ground shook violently. Kid curled his fingers and raised his palm, and the wall, dozens of meters high, broke away from its base before slowly rising into the air.
"Haah!"
Kid forcefully pressed his palm downward. The stone wall, which should not have possessed magnetism, flew out with his motion like a giant hand, viciously slamming toward Reiner.
Bang!!
The stone wall crashed heavily into the ground like a deafening thunderclap, making the earth tremble violently and sending up billowing clouds of dust.
The overloaded stone wall cracked in several places, the fractures spreading outward. Then, with a bang, a hole was violently blasted through its center. Rubble flew everywhere as Reiner leaped out from within.
"Well, you can still move. Giving magnetism to non-metal objects... is this your ability awakening?"
"Doesn't look all that useful to me."
Reiner mocked him, swinging his battle axe behind him before crouching and leaping forward.
Kid panted heavily, his chest rising and falling. His gaze turned cold as he abruptly raised a hand at the incoming Reiner, releasing a crackling ball of purple electricity.
"Whether it's useful isn't for you to decide. Don't look down on me, bastard!"
"Magnetism Grant: South!!"
Bang!!
Reiner lashed out with a powerful kick that struck Kid squarely in the face, while he too was hit by Kid's ability.
Kid spat blood and was instantly sent flying, smashing a deep crater into the quarry's mountain wall.
"Magnetism Grant: North!!"
