The flames of the explosion swallowed Queen's massive Brachiosaurus body, and thick smoke billowed into the air.
Though it was its first time being used in actual combat, the mech's performance still exceeded expectations somewhat.
Whether it was defense, strength, or the terrifying technological weapons it carried, aside from being somewhat lacking in speed, every aspect of Strike Freedom had reached an astonishing level.
After the violent explosion, no further movement came from within the smoke. Franky's expression was complicated. After a moment of silence, his gaze sharpened with resolve.
They each had their own positions, and his comrades were still fighting. Now was not the time to dwell on the past.
The heavy mech lifted its foot and turned around. After sweeping his gaze across the battlefield, Franky prepared to move out and support the others.
Suddenly.
"You didn't think it was over, did you? You're awfully full of yourself, brat."
The teasing voice rang out nearby. Franky's eyes widened in shock as he spun around.
Yet all he saw was an empty wilderness. Queen was nowhere to be found.
"The vitality of a ruler of the world from hundreds of millions of years ago isn't that fragile, idiot. Wind Blast Fist!!"
Bang!
Just as Franky was stunned, a heavy blow suddenly slammed into the back of the mech, its tremendous force warping both mechanical wings.
Then, one of the mech's arms was locked in place, unable to move, as though gripped tightly by an invisible pair of hands. The next moment—
Riiip—!
The metal plating curled with a piercing screech, and the joints of that steel arm began to twist.
"Haaah!!"
Veins bulged across the muscles of the invisible Queen as he violently tore off one of Strike Freedom's mechanical arms!
Bang!!
A thick, barrel-like Brachiosaurus foot kicked
